Miniroos
Australia’s Biggest Football Program for Kids
The MiniRoos program is designed for kids aged 8–12 of all abilities, offering a fun and exciting introduction to football. Through short, activity-packed sessions, children learn new skills, stay active, and make lifelong friends!
The season runs from March to September, featuring approximately 18 games.
In 2025 we ran our first all girls U12 team and they had a great season. In 2026 we would like to enter an U10s and U12s girls team into the Football West competition. If this is of interest to you, please contact our Secretary on info@belmontcityfc.com.au.
Photo Permissions
As part of registration, the Club also reserves the right to take photographs of your child during games and training for promotional purposes only. If you do not wish your child to be photographed, please let the Club know.
Training
Training is typically held 1–2 times per week in the evening. Attendance is mandatory for all players. Each team’s coach will set the training schedule and inform families. All sessions are conducted at Miles Park.
Games
Games are played on Sunday mornings, usually between morning and noon. Game times vary based on the schedule and may change up until Friday night of the game week. Games are divided between home matches at Miles Park and away matches at other clubs.
In 2026, BCFC will be partnering with Pro-Football Training to deliver a skills development program for the U6 and U7 teams. This will involve a one hour session on a Saturday morning at Miles Park, with mini games taking place within the groups. There will be no away games for these age groups. Please see Kick off for more information.
Coaches
Each Junior team from U8- U18 is coached by a volunteer parent of one of the players. We provide training opportunities for all current and prospective coaches.
If you are interested in coaching your child’s team, please contact us at registrar@belmontcityfc.com.au. You don’t need to be an experienced football player or have extensive knowledge of the game. Enthusiasm, patience, and a desire to guide our Juniors are all you need to succeed.
Volunteers
For home games, we require a volunteer to referee. One parent or sibling is expected to take on this role.
The Club will offer a refund on registration fees to those parents who volunteer regularly throughout the season and help out the Club. The discount will be refunded to volunteer parents at the end of the season in September.
To be eligible for the volunteer discount, parents need to volunteer in:
Refereeing (younger games)
Running the line (older games)
Canteen duty
Helping out at one of our Registration Days (to be held in February/March)
Helping out at a Club fundraiser (eg: Bunnings sausage sizzle)
Helping out at our end-of-year wind-up day (to be held in September)
Helping out your manager or the Club with anything they need
(Please note: it does not include bringing team oranges, or helping to set up or pack away nets for your team).
For more information about how you can volunteer, please email our committee at info@belmontcityfc.com.au.
