Juniors

Our Junior teams welcome boys and girls aged 13 to 18, competing in Football West’s Junior League. Matches are played 11-a-side on a full-sized football field.

The season runs from March to September, featuring approximately 18 games. Teams that finish in the top four progress to the semi-finals and finals.

In recent years, our Junior teams have built a strong reputation, consistently reaching semi-finals and finals, making them formidable opponents in the league.

Training

Training is typically held 1–2 times per week in the evening. Attendance at training sessions is mandatory for all players. Each team’s coach will determine the training schedule and communicate it to families. All training sessions are held at Miles Park.

Games

Games are held on Sunday mornings, typically between morning and noon. Game times vary depending on scheduling and are subject to change up until Friday night of the game week.

Games are divided between home matches at Miles Park and away matches at other clubs, except for U18 matches, which are held at Gerry Archer.

Coaches

Each Junior team is coached by a volunteer parent of one of the players. We provide training opportunities for all current and prospective coaches.

If you are interested in coaching your child’s team, please contact us at [email protected]. You don’t need to be an experienced football player or have extensive knowledge of the game. Enthusiasm, patience, and a desire to guide our Juniors are all you need to succeed.

Volunteers

Each team requires a volunteer to assist as an assistant referee to help manage offsides during games. One parent or sibling from each team is expected to take on this role for every game.

The Club will offer a $60 refund on registration fees to those parents who offer to volunteer and help out the Club. The $60 discount will be refunded to volunteer parents at the end of the season in September.

To be eligible for the volunteer discount, parents need to volunteer in:

Refereeing (younger games)
Running the line (older games)
Canteen duty
Helping out at one of our Registration Days (to be held in February/March)
Helping out at a Club fundraiser (e.g.: Bunnings sausage sizzle)
Helping out at our end-of-year wind-up day (to be held in September)
Helping out your manager or the Club with anything they need
(Please note: it does not include bringing team oranges or helping to set up or pack away nets for your team).

For more information about how you can volunteer, please email the committee at [email protected].
